Pune is my homeland n I love it. while I don't need any reinforcements for the love, here are a few awesome points about Pune!!!
01. Pune has the impeccable record of highest growth within a span of 20 Years.
02. Pune has the highest number of pubs in Asia .
03 . Pune has the highest number of cigarette smokers in India.
04. Pune has the highest number of software companies in India, followed by Bangalore, Hyderabad. Hence it's called the Silicon Valley of Maharashtra.
05. Pune has 21 engineering colleges, which is highest in the world in a given city.
Pune University has 57 Engineering colleges affiliated to it, which is highest in the world.
06. Pune is the only city in the world to have commercial and defence Airport operating from the same strip.
07. Pune has highest number of public sectors and government Organizations in India.
08. Pune university has highest number of students going abroad for higher studies taking the first place from IIT
Kanpur.
09. Pune has only 38% of local population (I.e.Marathi). Hence it's a true cosmopolitan city with around 20% North
Indians, 10% Tamilians, 14% Telugites, 10% Keralites, 8% Europeans (Koregaon Park), 5% Africans, 2 %

So you see, while Obama may rave about America,BUT i love Pune a lot and is pretty good as well. In fact, I believe (and can be quoted on this) "If one wants to see true global diversity in all its glory, one should live in Pune for a few months"
